At Data Vitality, we support general practices by streamlining clinical correspondence, coding accuracy, workflow management and medical record summarisation.

As a Healthcare Documentation & Coding Associate, you will help ensure GP records are accurate, complete and coded to the highest standards — making a direct impact on patient safety, practice efficiency and the quality of clinical records.

What You'll Do

• Review clinical documents such as hospital letters, discharge summaries, pathology results and specialist correspondence
• Assign appropriate clinical codes using systems such as SystmOne or EMIS
• Process and manage clinical correspondence using systems such as Docman and Anima, where applicable
• Workflow clinical actions to the appropriate team member, such as a GP, Nurse, Pharmacist or Reception team, in line with individual practice protocols
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy and consistency across all documentation
• Collaborate with internal audit and quality teams to maintain high coding standards
• Support practices in meeting key NHS requirements such as QOF and IIF through accurate coding and data quality
• Follow practice-specific coding, filing and workflow protocols

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience using EMIS or SystmOne within a GP practice or primary care setting
• Strong understanding of SNOMED clinical coding and document workflow processes
• Experience reviewing and coding clinical correspondence
• Experience using Anima for document management, coding or workflow is highly desirable
• Experience using Docman would also be advantageous
• Confident interpreting medical terminology and patient histories
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to follow different practice-specific protocols
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing workload effectively
• Right to work in the UK

Pay: £26,436.80-£29,120.00 per year
