We have an exciting opportunity within our busy GP surgery for new members to join our well skilled team at the The Spitalfields Practice.

We are an ambitious GP practice looking for motivated people who want to succeed in healthcare and provide great customer care.

We are looking for intelligent and quick learning individuals, with the following skills/traits:

Experience in a GP or Healthcare setting

EMIS knowledge

Excellent customer service manner

Flexible approach, and happy to learn new skills

The right candidate is someone who is extremely professional, keen to work hard and has a genuine care for patients. Someone who is adept in using their own initiative when working alone and self-motivated.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL, AS TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.

You will be working with our front-line clinical teams to support the delivery of the highest quality primary care service to our patients. More specifically, Care Navigators will be responsible for helping to maintain a friendly but effective first-line of patient contact, deal with patient tasks appropriately, follow our systems and protocols and keep the practice presentable and safe.

Day to day responsibilities include answering patient queries on the phone, booking patients with the right clinician, managing referrals, calling patients to book them in for health checks and vaccinations. You’ll need to follow our systems, policies and procedures carefully and ensure that you maintain confidentiality at all times.

The post can be quite challenging at times so a calm approach is vital

The right candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be warm, friendly and empathetic but also able to influence and negotiate with patients. You’ll be a fast learner who can follow our processes carefully as well as an enthusiastic and confident team player who will fit in well with our team.

Minimum requirements: candidates must be comfortable with computers. Previous experience working in a GP practice or with EMIS preferred but not required. Experience in customer service fields may be helpful in your application.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
