As a key link between our suppliers, overseas offices and internal teams, you’ll help ensure smooth communication and collaboration throughout the supply chain. We’re looking for motivated individuals who can bring fresh ideas, support growing demand and contribute to the development of innovative products across our extensive and well-loved brand portfolio.

Ultimate Products is a leading consumer goods business supplying over 300 major retailers across the UK and Europe. With a portfolio of well-known homeware brands and ambitious growth plans, our Buying team plays a crucial role in creating and delivering products that reach millions of customers.

We’re looking for individuals who have graduated within the last couple of years and gained some workplace experience within the industry, or those looking to transition into Buying from another field. If you’re ready for a change or looking to accelerate your career, this development pathway is designed to help you build capability quickly through structured training and hands-on learning.

You will gain broad exposure to the full buying lifecycle, take on meaningful responsibilities and receive the support needed to grow into a confident Buying professional.

Key Responsibilities

As a Buying Assistant, you will be working as part of a team to provide support to the Buying Directors in all aspects of the Buying process. The overall purpose of the buying department is to bring innovative and on trend retail products to market at the right price and the right quality. So, if you enjoy being creative, working collaboratively and on a variety of tasks, then buying could be for you!

  • Assisting in the development of quality branded products for our retail customers.
  • Analysing consumer market trends and conducting effective product research.
  • Working alongside our Brand teams to coordinate product packaging requirements.
  • Liaising with our offices in the Far East and factories to organise product sample.
  • Produce customer specific quotations for the sales team accurately and on time.

About You

  • A degree (2:1 or above) in any discipline
  • 9–24 months of transferable previous work experience (any sector)
  • Passion for consumer products, retail or buying
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive, resilient approach
  • Ability to commute to our Oldham office
