Area Sales Manager - Emergency Lighting

Location: Home Based / Field Based
Salary: £53,120 + Sales Bonus + Loyalty Bonus + Commission + Company Car
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

A specialist lighting business is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales and develop customer relationships across the emergency lighting market.

The role will involve managing existing accounts, developing new business and working closely with end users, contractors and specifiers to promote emergency lighting systems and solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts, driving repeat business and customer retention.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Promote emergency lighting products and systems to end users, contractors and specifiers.
  • Carry out site surveys and provide design consultation and technical support.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations and support projects through to completion.
  • Deliver product presentations, system demonstrations and technical briefings.
  • Work closely with project, survey and design teams to develop compliant solutions.
  • Manage project and maintenance contract requirements.
  • Attend industry events and monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales information.
  • Take responsibility for achieving sales, profit and forecast targets.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in a field-based sales or account management role within lighting, electrical or a related technical sector.
  • Strong understanding of customer account management and business development.
  • Comfortable working with contractors, consultants, specifiers and end users.
  • Able to carry out site visits and understand technical/project requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage their own diary and workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
