The Opportunity

We're looking for a driven and ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our Concrete Division, covering Scotland, with an ideal base within the central belt of Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a true new business hunter who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening doors, and building long-term customer relationships. If you're commercially focused, self-motivated, and passionate about winning new business, we'd love to hear from you.

As Area Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for growing sales across our concrete product range by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships within the construction sector.

You'll be targeting key customers including house builders, groundworkers, civil engineering contractors, and builders' merchants, becoming a trusted partner and driving sustainable sales growth across the region.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the territory.

  • Build strong relationships with regional and national house builders, groundworkers, contractors and civil engineering companies.

  • Develop and grow sales through builders' merchants and distribution partners.

  • Generate specifications and convert projects into sales.

  • Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through to order completion.

  • Deliver against sales and profitability targets.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and project opportunities.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and successful project delivery.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A proactive, target-driven salesperson with a genuine hunter mentality.

  • Experienced in winning new business within the construction or building materials industry.

  • Ideally knowledgeable in concrete, heavyside building products, or construction materials.

  • Well connected with house builders, groundworkers, contractors or civil engineering customers.

  • Experienced in working with builders' merchants and distribution channels.

  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage a large geographical territory.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
