BD Interventional (BDI) focus on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions aiming at advancing the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures.
About the role
The Sales Specialist, Diagnostic Oncology is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and achieving quarterly and annual territory targets within a fast-paced and competitive healthcare environment.
This role focuses on developing strong customer relationships, understanding customer needs and strategic objectives, and positioning BD's diagnostic oncology solutions as the preferred choice. Working closely with healthcare professionals, decision-makers, and key opinion leaders, the Sales Specialist will create and execute strategic territory plans, manage key accounts, and identify opportunities to expand BD's presence and impact across the region.
Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, effective territory management, and a customer-centric approach. The Sales Specialist will deliver product training and education programmes, support product evaluations and account conversions, provide market and competitor insights, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize business opportunities. As a trusted partner to customers, they will represent BD professionally at all times while ensuring exceptional service, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success.
Main responsibilities will include:

Deliver quarterly and annual territory sales targets in line with national budget and revenue expectations.

Drive sustainable sales growth across the territory through effective account and territory management.

Build strong, long-term customer relationships and position BD as the partner of choice.
-
Develop, execute, and adapt strategic territory plans aligned with BD business objectives.
-
Focus on key accounts and growth opportunities through structured account management planning.
-
Promote, sell, and implement BD Value Add Services to maximize customer value and sales opportunities.
-
Deliver training, education, and other value-added programmes to support customer engagement.
-
Manage product evaluations, trials, and in-service activities to support account conversion and adoption.
-
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide market, customer, and competitor insights to support business growth.

Represent BD professionally, manage customer enquiries and complaints, attend industry events, and build relationships with key opinion leaders.
About you
-
Degree qualified (preferred) with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
-
Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or a similar commercial environment, with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and use insights for account and territory planning.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM/business reporting tools.

Excellent relationship-building skills, adapting communication style to engage a wide range of customers and stakeholders.

Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.

Self-motivated and highly organised, capable of working independently, prioritising workload, and managing territory activities effectively.

Collaborative team player with a passion for sales, strong commercial acumen, sound decision-making skills, and the ability to deliver product demonstrations, training, and customer education

Salary Range: €63K - €73K as Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits including Company Car
