Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations within the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a caring and efficient medical environment.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently
  • Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs with attention to detail
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and insurance documentation
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked
  • Support other administrative staff as required to ensure seamless clinic operations

Requirements

  • Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office or similar programmes
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly
