We are seeking a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant, working 40 hours per week, to join our busy private medical practice based at Arena Business Centre, Winnersh, Reading. Working hours are Monday to Friday, flexibly between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm; weekend working is not a requirement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and personable administrator, looking to develop experience within a specialist private healthcare environment.

  • Accurate processing of patient and billing data
  • Appointment scheduling and diary management
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Liaising with hospital departments to support referrals and results processing
  • Providing general administrative support across the team
  • Supporting colleagues during busy periods and annual leave cover
  • Using Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and adapting quickly to practice management software, imaging systems, encrypted messaging services and secure cloud-based platforms

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Be proactive and able to manage time effectively
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, and professional
  • Have confident IT skills and accurate data entry abilities
  • Have achieved successful A level grades.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous administrative or office experience
  • Experience within the NHS or private healthcare, medical administration or customer service environments would be advantageous

Benefits:

· 32 days annual leave including bank holidays

· Enrolment in workplace pension scheme

· Free on-site parking

· Adjacent to Winnersh train station

· Training and development opportunities
