Receptionist/Secretary

Part-time

The Osteopaths Walters~Pearce~Perkins~Cadwallader~Sweeney

We are looking for a friendly, organised and self-motivated Receptionist/Secretary to join our team to help keep our busy practice running smoothly. You will need to be reliable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. Strong communication and administration skills are essential.

Hours: Tuesday afternoons 2.00 pm - 6.00 pm

Thursday mornings 9.00 am - 1.00 pm

Every third Saturday morning 9.00 am – 1.00 pm

Flexibility is essential and the availability to swap days and cover for holiday and sickness, and any extra hours, as needed.

The role

You will be an important part of our front-of-house team, helping with:

- Patient enquiries and bookings, either face-to-face, on the telephone or via email

- Managing patient appointments and records

- Using diary software, Word, Excel, scanning application, file management and other computer software

- Typing letters to medical practitioners and patients

- Welcoming and attending to patients in a friendly, pleasant and professional manner

- Taking payments and keeping record of accounts

- Liaising with practitioners

- Keeping reception and clinic areas welcoming, tidy and clean

- Ordering stock and supplies

- Other administrative duties, as required

Requirements: Good competent computer understanding essential, good typing skills, flexibility, punctuality, clear verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as a team player but also independently, good organisational skills, ability to handle confidential information essential.
