Full job description

We are seeking an ambitious and organised Practice Administration Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in primary care administration, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility and contribute to practice improvement projects.

We are a friendly and busy GP surgery looking for an outgoing and flexible individual with a positive attitude.

The role will be responsible for supporting the care of our patients with review of clinical information, medical records and other third-party requests. The role will review clinical correspondence highlighting for clinicians, scanning and read coding problems and specialties. There will be daily monitoring and processing of the surgery email account and other relevant tasks for our busy GP surgery. The role will also be required to assist GPs with processing patient referrals and tracking results. Once established and confident with the operations of primary care, there will be the opportunity to grow and support the partners and managers with project work to meet specific targets.

Medical background/knowledge preferred but not essential. Experience working within the NHS would be an advantage, but full support and training will be given. The ideal candidate would need sound IT knowledge and excellent communication skills. Experience of Emis and Docman preferred.

The role will be full time 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday each day. The role is permanent. The salary will be dependent upon experience.

We are located near Reading in a lovely setting with good rail links and free parking.
