Salary: £12.74-£13.55 per hour Subject to experience (£24,905-£26,488) Pay Review Pending

Job Summary:

You will assist and support the practice in providing an efficient, professional and welcoming first point of contact (mainly by telephone but also face to face) to all of WMG patients and visitors to the practice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Patient Services Manager with monitoring and ensuring daily tasks are completed/up to date
  • Provide support and assistance to colleagues, Patient Services Manager and Operations Manager whenever appropriate
  • Provide assistance with mentoring new and existing colleagues and becoming a ‘buddy’ when appropriate
  • Actively promote and encourage excellent customer service within the team

Main roles:

  • Telephone Support – answer and deal with patient calls
  • Administration - document management, workflow, scanning, referrals,
  • Data entry of registrations, amendments and deductions
  • Deal knowledgeably and competently with urgent calls from patients and/or colleagues
  • IT – EMIS, Sentiers (Patient Triage System), EMIS workflow, Tasks, GP TeamNet, NHS Mail, Pharmacy referrals
  • Front Desk (rota system). Greeting patients and consulting with members of the practice team. Handling patient queries and assisting colleagues as and when appropriate
  • Unlocking and securing the building both in the morning and evening
