Patient Advisor (reception/administration)

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our well- established and friendly Practice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high level of quality reception and administration duties and should be able to demonstrate good organisational and communication skills. This should complement a can-do attitude and strong ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and work as a part of a team.

Post offered is for 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday on a rota basis. Flexibility between the hours of 08:00-18:30 is essential, with the expectation to cover sickness and holiday absences when required.

About us

We are a small and friendly team, managing a list size of approximately 2,400 patients, with a ‘Good’ CQC rating.

We use clinical systems EMISweb and Docman10.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Core responsibilities of the role:

  • To provide a quality reception service
  • Input and retrieve data from the clinical system as required
  • Assist with the distribution of information and correspondence
  • Assist with repeat prescriptions
  • Assist with service provision monitoring
  • Scanning and coding
  • Assist with referrals
  • Assist with records movement
  • Stock monitoring
  • Clinic management
  • Liaise with a wide range of staff, patients and visitors
  • First point of contact for patient complaints and queries
  • Compliance with all Practice policies and procedures
