Patient Administrator / Receptionist

Apprenticeship or Permanent Role Full time/ Part time
Full time – 37.5 hours/ Part time min 21.5 hours or Apprenticeship 30 hours

This position is available as either an apprenticeship or a full/part time permanent role, depending on the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and career stage.

The successful applicant should have excellent customer service and computer skills; be able to work within a friendly supportive team, use their own initiative and multitask within a busy healthcare environment whilst maintaining a good sense of humour!

Our last CQC inspection rated us as ‘Outstanding’, we have excellent feedback from the GP Survey and Friends and Family, and our latest staff survey found 100% of staff were ‘proud to work at the practice’. We value our whole surgery team spirit and enjoy teambuilding events, training days and a positive atmosphere. We have a health and wellbeing team and even a gardening club.

Experience of working in a healthcare environment or in a receptionist role is desirable but not essential, particularly for those applying via the apprenticeship route where full training will be provided.

A normal shift pattern usually includes one early morning start at 7.30am and one late finish between 7pm and 8.15pm per week, with a Saturday morning every 5 weeks but will move to ensure coverage of other staff members leave.

Starting salary will be dependant on experience and role offered (apprenticeship or permanent). Plus the option of the excellent NHS pension scheme if eligible, 28 days annual leave + bank holidays on a prorated bases, cycle to work scheme offered on completion of probation, free on-site parking. Uniform tops are provided.
