We are excited to offer a fixed term opportunity for an Occupational Health Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Occupational Health Team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting our healthcare professionals and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality Occupational Health service within a busy and fast-paced environment.

As an Occupational Health Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service. We are looking for someone with high-quality administrative support, coordinate appointments and records and help deliver an efficient, responsive and professional service to employees, managers and stakeholders.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience.

What we're looking for an enthusiastic individual who can demostrate:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing a high-quality service.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A clear understanding of confidentiality, information governance and GDPR requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain Occupational Health records, appointments and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Occupational Health Team and assist with the efficient running of the service.
  • Working collaboratively with medical staff to maintain a professional, efficient and responsive high-quality service.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and in accordance with GDPR and Council policies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service when supporting employees, managers and stakeholders.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. However, there is a requirement for you to attend your work base at least 2-3 days per week, being ready for clinics to start at 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.
