Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Medical Receptionist/administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying personal information.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain an organised calendar for medical staff.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing enquiries or directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Process incoming correspondence, including emails and postal mail, ensuring timely responses.
  • Assist with payment processing as needed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication within the practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative or office role.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm and composed attitude.
  • A commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare.
  • Must have flexibility to provide additional cover when required.
