Superstar Orthodontic Receptionist

Surrey Orthodontics Group – Farnham, Surrey

At Surrey Orthodontics Group, we don't just straighten teeth—we create confident smiles and life-changing experiences. Our reputation is built on exceptional patient care, cutting-edge orthodontic treatment, and a team that genuinely enjoys making a difference every day.

We're looking for an outstanding Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our practice. This is not a role for someone who wants to simply answer phones and book appointments. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, highly organised people-person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment a patient walks through the door.

If you love helping people, have outstanding customer service skills, and enjoy being at the heart of a busy, successful team, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, professional, and memorable experience for every visitor. We require someone that would be able to assist at our Godalming and Cranleigh Practice should we need assistance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a genuinely friendly, confident, and professional welcome to patients and visitors.
  • Managing a busy appointment diary with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and patient enquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Supporting patients throughout their orthodontic journey and ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Processing payments and assisting with financial administration.
  • Working closely with clinicians and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the patient experience.
  • Maintaining a reception area that reflects the high standards of our practice.

Who We're Looking For

This is a customer-facing role and exceptional people skills are essential.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Previous experience in a busy receptionist, front-of-house, customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or administrative role.
  • You must live within a 15-mile radius of Farnham.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong IT and organisational skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership of your role.

You'll Stand Out If You Are:

  • Naturally warm, engaging, and enthusiastic.
  • Able to build rapport quickly with patients of all ages.
  • Calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, proactive, and genuinely committed to delivering outstanding service.
  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Experience within dentistry or orthodontics is advantageous but not essential. We can teach systems and processes; we are looking for the right personality, attitude, and professionalism.

What We Offer

  • Private healthcare cover.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Ongoing training and development.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression.
  • A supportive, friendly, and ambitious team.
  • Modern, well-equipped practices.
  • A workplace culture built around excellence, kindness, teamwork, and patient care.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Occasional participation in a rotating Friday shift (11:00am – 6:00pm) may be required.
