Senior Medical Secretary

Join one of London's leading specialist clinics.

OS is a clinician-led private practice, founded by world-renowned surgeons to deliver exceptional orthopaedic and oral maxillofacial care. Our multidisciplinary team of over 30 specialists works collaboratively to provide outstanding patient care, supported by a dedicated administrative team committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive and patient-focused individual to provide dedicated support to a group of consultants, managing patient pathways from referral through to discharge while ensuring the smooth running of busy clinics and theatre lists.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing dedicated secretarial support to an allocated group of consultants.
  • Managing consultant clinic and theatre diaries, appointments and scheduling.
  • Coordinating patient journeys from initial referral through to treatment and follow-up.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for patients, consultants, hospitals and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing medical correspondence and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Liaising with hospitals, insurers and the billing team to support seamless patient care.
  • Managing enquiries professionally and delivering an outstanding patient experience.
  • Supporting service improvements and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

About you

You'll be an experienced Medical Secretary who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with patients and consultants.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary (private healthcare experience desirable).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
