Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our clients GP Surgery in Manchester M21

Salaried role

Full time: 4 days a week 20 hours

Hours are on rota and would be 8.00 - 1.00pm, 8.30 - 1.30pm and 1.30 - 6.30pm.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations effectively.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Process patient information and insurance details efficiently.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate care.
  • Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing when required.
  • Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and tidy at all times.

Skills

  • Strong administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • EMIS experience ideally
  • GP surgery experience
