Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with previous customer service experience to join our friendly and hardworking reception team based in Beeston, Nottingham.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within the practice and enhancing patient experience.

The position is for 27.25 hours a week with the below shifts, with an hourly rate of £12.83.

Monday: 08:00-13:30 (5.5 hours)

Tuesday: 08:00-13:30 (5.5 hours)

Wednesday: 13:30-19:30 (30 min unpaid break) (5.5 hours)

Thursday: 08:00-13:30 (5.5 hours)

Friday: 13:30-18:45 (5.25 hours)

Training and support will be provided for all aspects of this challenging, yet rewarding, role. Salary is £12.83 per hour + NHS Pension + 33 days holiday (including Bank holidays pro rata for part time staff)

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to patient queries with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • excellent communication skills, both on the telephone and face to face
  • enthusiasm to undertake a variety of tasks
  • able to prioritise tasks and organise their workload
  • attention to detail
  • willing to learn
