Medical Receptionist

Locations: Wetherby Surgery & Bramham Medical Centre
Driving Licence Essential

Are you a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves making a difference every day? We’re looking for a warm, organised, and proactive Medical Receptionist to become a valued part of our friendly and supportive team across our Wetherby and Bramham sites.

This is far more than a reception role — you’ll be the welcoming face and reassuring voice of the Practice, playing a key part in delivering an outstanding experience for our patients. Every day brings something different, offering the opportunity to support the smooth running of essential healthcare services.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a central member of our team, you will:

  • Provide a professional, compassionate, and efficient service to patients both in person and over the phone.
  • Book appointments, arrange home visits, and respond to patient enquiries with care and confidence.
  • Process incoming mail and patient communications accurately and promptly.
  • Manage important administrative tasks including medication requests, pathology results and patient follow-ups.
  • Welcome and register new patients, helping create a positive first impression of the Practice.
  • Prepare and process documents including forms, letters, and fit notes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and passionate about helping others.
  • Experienced in customer service with excellent communication skills.
  • Confident using IT systems and able to learn new software.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, discreet, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
  • A full driving licence holder, as travel between our Wetherby and Bramham sites is essential.
