Full job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Receptionist to join our team based in Huddersfield. This is a full time, permanent role working 8.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri and in return you will recieve a competivie hourly rate of £12.71+ depending on experience.

Edgerton Dental Clinic is a well established clinic serving patients from Huddersfield and across Yorkshire. We regularly invest in our state-of-the-art facilities and the ongoing training of our dentists and dental support team to ensure that our patient’s visits are as stress free as possible.

Our dental practice is housed in an imposing and fully refurbished listed Georgian building close to parking and easily accessible for visitors on foot or arriving by vehicle or public transport.

We take pride in offering a full range of high quality services including traditional family dentistry, children's dentistry, services for those patients with dental anxiety and a full range of cosmetic dentistry procedures.

Key responsibilities of our Receptionist will include:

  • Answer the Telephone in the prescribed manner
  • Welcome all patients arriving at the practice
  • Ensure that the appointment system is efficient and accurate
  • Collect and record patient payments
  • Administration & Finance
  • Ensure that patient records are completed correctly before filing and storing them in an efficient, tidy and secure manner
  • Complete and return relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
  • Encourage prompt payments and chase outstanding debts according to the practice policy
  • Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required
  • Send out patient recalls
  • Compile day sheets
  • Keep the office, reception area and waiting room clean and tidy
  • Organise stock supplies and control
  • Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice (perhaps including the duties and tasks of a dental nurse when required)
  • Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
  • Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR

What we are looking for in our Receptionist:

  • Previous experience in an Admin Customer Service / Receptionist role would be beneficial, however training will be provided for the right candidate!
