Job Summary

This is an interesting and demanding position that requires working as a member of our large busy reception team. We are looking for someone with initiative, who is flexible, adaptable and able to cope with a busy workload. You will be a quick thinker who can deal with multiple queries on a daily basis and have the ability to problem solve. You will enjoy the responsibility of a varied role including managing the front desk, processing documents, prioritising your work and have excellent communication skills. You must be a strong team player who demonstrates a caring attitude when dealing with patients and colleagues, both on the telephone or in person. Previous patient facing experience would be an advantage.

Job Type / Category

Brannam Medical Centre is a busy NHS Medical Practice with 19,500+ patients. We are looking for a member of staff to work part time, between 16 - 22 hours a week, ideally with flexibility to provide holiday cover, between the hours of 8am-6.30pm. NB Pay scale is pro rata.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Experience of working in an office/the NHS would be desirable, but not essential.

GCSE English Language and Maths at pass grades or equivalent.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Reliable, motivated, ability to work within a team and under pressure, good interpersonal skills
