Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where attention to detail and compassionate communication are highly valued.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments accurately using practice management software
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to patient enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
  • Manage correspondence, including emails and postal mail
  • Process payments and issue receipts in accordance with practice procedures
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organisation
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Support other administrative staff as required to ensure seamless clinic operations

Skills

  • Proven office experience, ideally within a healthcare setting or similar environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent practice management systems
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
