Children's Residential Care Home Administrator

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our children's residential home. The successful candidate will provide administrative, compliance, and systems support to ensure the home operates efficiently and meets regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and populate documents, reports, forms, and spreadsheets.
  • Manage and update tracking systems, databases, and care management software.
  • Produce accurate meeting minutes and distribute actions.
  • Support audits, compliance monitoring, and regulatory requirements, including Ofsted and Regulation 44 processes.
  • Maintain training records and monitor staff compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and financial administration.
  • Collate and analyse data for management reports.
  • Support staff with system access, logins, and basic IT queries.
  • Maintain organised electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the management team and cover reception duties when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
  • Experience creating and maintaining documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Confident using multiple IT systems.
  • Excellent minute-taking and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.

Desirable

  • Experience within children's residential care, social care, or a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children's home regulations.

Knowledge of the care sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
