Who are IPRS PFAS?

As Functional Assessors at PFAS we work on behalf of the DWP assessing claimants who have applied for PIP (Personal Independence Payments) benefit. We act as information gatherers and we assess how each individual's disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities by completing thorough assessments in a respectful, non-bias and reassuring manner. We use our clinical curiosity, medical knowledge, learnt resources and clinical guidance to present findings to the DWP. After we have gained all the information, we form a report which gets sent to the DWP case managers who make the decision on the claimant's eligibility.


The DWP will make their decision by looking at the claim and its supporting evidence. Our assessment report is only one part of this supporting evidence.

We are looking for a PIP clinical trainer to Join Us as a Clinical Trainer - Make a Real Impact!


The Role

As a New Entrant Clinical Trainer PIP for IPRS PFAS you will be responsible for the training and supporting newly hired healthcare professionals (HPs) who will be conducting the Personal Independence Payments (PIP) assessment for PIP benefit claims. As a trainer you will ensure that HPs are well prepared to assess PIP claimants' on their health conditions and functional.

Your success will ensure that HPs are fully equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver high quality assessments. Ultimately delivering operational efficiency, compliance and long term stability for the Business, contributing to the success of PFAS.


Responsibilities

As a New Entrant Clinical Trainer for IPRS PFAS, you will be responsible for providing an online/Hybrid training environment conducive to learning including:

  • Providing support and guidance to all new starters throughout the onboarding and training process and ensuring a successful start to their journey whilst setting the foundations for future success.
  • To carry out personal and independent clinical assessments and examinations. To interpret and analyse information gained in assessment, alongside medical evidence provided, in order to create a professional, accurate and concise report to robustly advise on each individual's level of needs and functional abilities.

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:


Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, BSc or Qualified Paramedic or Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only).


Experience:

  • 2 years of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional delivering PIP assessments
  • Previous experience of delivering training in a group setting.


Knowledge:

  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • A broad clinical knowledge base.
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Coach within PIP.


Skills:

  • Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both medical and administrative support colleagues.
  • Have highly developed oral and written communication skills and be able to negotiate successfully and respond to rapidly changing work environment.
  • Takes a positive approach to dealing with change.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrates positive attitude, role model for other HPs regarding good practices and behaviour.
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve the best outcomes for claimants and the client.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
  • Professional under pressure.
  • Contribute positively to the organisational culture.
