Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care within a busy general practice setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your clinical skills, support patient wellbeing, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services. The position is paid and open to experienced practice nurses who wish to work in primary care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, wound management, and health education.
  • Administer medications and injections safely and accurately in accordance with clinical protocols.
  • Assist with minor procedures and diagnostic tests as required.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients regarding health concerns, treatment plans, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate closely with GPs, practice staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service delivery.
  • Monitor patient progress and follow up on treatment plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Ensure infection control procedures are strictly adhered to within the practice environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification recognised within the UK.
  • Proven experience in a primary care or similar healthcare setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions encountered in primary care.
  • Competence in medication administration, including injections and other clinical procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient support.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a busy environment.

Pay: £21.00-£22.65 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
