Full job description
Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
As a Remote Clinical Coder, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and in a timely manner. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery through quality coding.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations.
- Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis.
- Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge.
- Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff.
Benefits
£25,400 per annum based full time hours.
Full-time, Part-time available (minimum 15 hours)
