As an Operations Support Engineer, you'll provide expert engineering support that helps keep Fiona Stanley Hospital operating safely, efficiently and reliably. Working closely with the Engineering and Utilities team, you'll deliver technical advice, support critical infrastructure and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the hospital. Your expertise will help maintain essential services that support clinicians, patients and the wider hospital community.

As an Operations Support Engineer in the Engineering & Utilities team, you'll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing critical hospital engineering systems, infrastructure and asset information.
  • Reviewing preventative maintenance activities and supporting high-risk engineering works.
  • Leading engineering responses to incidents that may impact clinical or business operations.
  • Developing engineering procedures, work instructions, technical documentation and system plans.
  • Supporting engineering projects, investigations, asset assessments and root cause analyses.
  • Driving continuous improvement through quality audits, compliance activities and asset management initiatives.

You could be a great fit if you have:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering Electrical qualification recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • At least five years' experience in maintenance engineering within a large hospital environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital engineering systems, including HVAC, building management systems and essential infrastructure services.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide trusted technical advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and risk management.
  • A commitment to quality, safety and delivering reliable outcomes in a complex operational environment.
