Job Title: Clinical Embryologist

Job Purpose / Overview

As a Clinical Embryologist you will specialise in human reproductive biology, performing all laboratory procedures to deliver treatment to our patients. The role ensures accurate laboratory results, maintains high standards of patient care, and upholds regulatory and quality standards throughout all embryology processes.

Reports to: Laboratory Manager/Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with company policies.
  • Collaborate with laboratory team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Ensure safe practices, reporting incidents appropriately and swiftly.
  • Help to identify areas of improvement within the laboratory.
  • Handle both clinical and non-clinical communications with patients such as scheduling, information requests, and general queries
  • Assist in monitoring and support in the management of laboratory supplies and inventory to ensure resources are available as needed.
  • Support with the organisation of the maintenance laboratory equipment, ensuring everything is properly documented.
  • Support or conduct audits to ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Witness procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in critical laboratory processes.
  • Assist with the management of Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) cycles from documentation to results administration.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining laboratory areas.
  • Support with the movement of samples between centres.
  • Perform all laboratory processes to the highest standard and in compliance with FutureLife policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs for laboratory personnel.
  • Exemplify the FutureLife values; Human Always, Lead with Excellence and Family First.

Education & Professional Qualification

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology).
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PhD) preferred.
  • Local registration to practice as a Clinical Embryologist with proficiency in all laboratory processes.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an IVF laboratory
  • Fluency in verbal and written local language
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is desirable
