Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MLD Therapist (Manual Lymphatic Drainage) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will deliver specialized manual lymphatic drainage treatments designed to promote lymphatic flow, reduce swelling, and support overall patient health. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for patients with various medical conditions, including post-surgical recovery, lymphedema management, and pediatric care. Duties

  • Perform manual lymphatic drainage techniques tailored to each patient’s needs, ensuring safe and effective treatment sessions
  • Assess patients’ medical history, physiology, and anatomy to develop personalised treatment plans
  • Educate patients on lymphatic health, self-care practices, and post-treatment protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, especially in hospital or clinical settings
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatments provided, patient progress, and clinical observations
  • Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and uphold hygiene and safety protocols during all procedures
  • Support pediatric patients by adapting techniques to suit their specific needs and comfort levels

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience is highly preferred, especially in settings involving complex patient care
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is a strong plus, demonstrating patience and adaptability
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care with compassion and professionalism
  • Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to lymphatic therapy
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to the lymphatic system and its impact on overall health
  • Familiarity with clinical protocols for managing conditions like lymphedema or post-surgical swelling is advantageous
