Sonographer | Cardiff | £50-55ph

Castlefield Recruitment is a leading specialist in healthcare recruitment. We are recruiting for a highly skilled Sonographer to join a dynamic clinical team within a Healthcare setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to patient care and reduce waiting list times through high-quality ultrasound services.

As a Sonographer, you will play a key role in the delivery of diagnostic imaging services. You will perform a wide range of ultrasound scans and ensure all procedures meet high clinical standards. Your focus will be on delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients while maintaining excellent communication with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ultrasound scans across a broad range of areas, including:
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Superficial lumps (neck, axilla, groin)
  • Gynaecological (transabdominal and transvaginal)
  • Renal, bladder, prostate
  • Scrotal/testicular
  • Accurately report and document findings in line with clinic and NHS policies,
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, dignity, and confidentiality
  • Maintain current knowledge of sonographic practices, protocols, and equipment
  • Participate in clinical audits, CPD, and ongoing quality improvement
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and clinical staff to support efficient service delivery

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification ultrasound experience
  • HCPC registration or equivalent professional body recognition
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (e.g., PG Diploma or MSc)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence

Desirable:

  • Experience working across multiple specialities (e.g., MSK, Abdominal)
  • Previous involvement in clinical audit or quality assurance projects
