Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, and Ultrasound to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality medical imaging procedures, including ultrasounds and other diagnostic imaging techniques, to assist in accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role requires a professional committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining technical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in various imaging modalities such as MRI and CT, and a solid understanding of IT systems used in medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations for obstetric, gynecological, and radiological assessments with precision and attention to detail
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment including ultrasound machines, MRI scanners, and CT systems to produce clear diagnostic images
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures by providing thorough explanations and support
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis
  • Maintain accurate patient records, images, and reports in compliance with healthcare standards and data protection regulations
  • Assist with the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Educate patients on procedures, addressing their concerns effectively through excellent communication skills
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives by adhering to clinical protocols and safety guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Certified Sonographer with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Radiology/Ultrasound from an accredited program
  • Proven experience operating ultrasound equipment; familiarity with MRI and CT imaging is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging principles, patient care practices, and safety standards
  • Proficiency in IT systems related to medical imaging documentation and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving clinical practices
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality care
