Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynaecology Sonographer to join our private independent clinic. This role offers VISA sponsorship for suitable candidates and involves performing advanced ultrasound examinations to support maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy, as well as pelvic scans. The successful applicant will work in sole charge. This position is ideal for professionals committed to excellence in medical imaging and patient support, eager to develop their expertise in obstetric and gynaecological sonography. Ideally phlebotomy trained, alternatively willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

  • Pregnancy scans from 6 weeks to term including early pregnancy, gender, wellbeing scans, 3/4d scans.
  • Pelvic scans
  • Follicle tracking scans (desirable)
  • Blood draws
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
  • Analyse ultrasound images for accuracy and clarity, documenting findings meticulously and arranging referrals when needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology,
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Skills
  • Proven experience in medical imaging, particularly in obstetrics and gynaecology sonography.
  • Phlebotomy skills are advantageous.
  • Strong patient care skills with an empathetic approach towards diverse patient needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively explain procedures and findings to patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and image management.
