Job description:

You will be working in our Ofsted registered Children's Home service.

You will contribute to an engaging, nurturing and supportive environment to enable a sense of belonging through community engagement, regular support and providing well maintained, high quality and homely accommodation.

  • You will have regular practice and clinical supervisions, which offer advice and guidance therapeutically.
  • You will be committed to your own development, growth and progression.
  • You will work varying shift patterns, working 37.5 Hours per week.
  • It is essential hold a full UK driving licence.
  • GFC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children you must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosures Barring Service clearance at enhanced level.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a Children's Home or with children that are looked after.
  • Experience in supporting vulnerable young people who find engaging socially and emotionally difficult at times.
  • An understanding of the legislation and guidance relating to the provision.
  • Awareness of Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Awareness of Safeguarding and Protection procedures and regulations.
