Residential Support Worker – Children (3 Long Days)

Salary Range (FTE) £27,808 - £28,334
Sleep-ins paid at an extra £78.48 per night
The role is based at Sunfield Garden School is an independent specialist school educating children and young people (6-19) with complex behaviour and learning difficulties including autistic spectrum conditions.
This role can be both physically and emotionally demanding, and you must have the confidence and patience to proactively and positively support behaviours of challenge that young people can present. However, the role is also extremely rewarding, and you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the young people in your care.
- You will be part of a team with responsibility for promoting and ensuring the safety, care, wellbeing and development of our students to support their growth in confidence in both social and practical skills.
- You will support and supervise our students to develop skills in domestic activities; cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting and shopping as well as engagement in leisure activities; accessing local communities, exploring local area, partaking in trips etc.
- You will be required to complete and update all relevant paperwork and recording accurately
- There may be a need to provide personal care, administer medication dependent on our student needs
- Our students have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which can involve complex diagnoses. Any applicants must be prepared to work with challenging behaviour.
