Job Overview

i am 68 year old gentleman I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Carer to provide exceptional care and support on a one-week-in-four rotation. this is 168 hours paid at £12.71 ( £2135.28 ) . This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference to myself. i am needing assistance with daily activities, health management, and emotional well-being. As a vital member of my caregiving team, you will deliver personalized care in a respectful, safe, and nurturing environment, ensuring i maintain my independence and quality of life. The position is paid and designed for motivated individuals eager to bring energy and empathy into my daily requirements .

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, catheter care, bowel management and physio.
  • Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all care activities
  • Support me with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting my dietary restrictions
  • Engage with me in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and my emotional well-being
  • Monitor my health status, recognize signs of distress or deterioration, and communicate updates promptly to healthcare teams
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe living environment
  • must be able to drive a large automatic car

Requirements

  • Prior experience in live in positions
  • Knowledge of patient care practices including spinal cord injuries
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
  • Valid driving license for transportation needs; ability to drive safely is advantageous
  • Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on compassion, patience, and professionalism
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client safety and mobility assistance
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and healthcare professionals
  • Flexibility to work one week in four rotations as part of the live-in schedule
