Job Summary

New Mill Pharmacy is an independent community Pharmacy dedicated to providing excellent patient care and a friendly, professional service to our local community.

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and wants to be a part of a supportive pharmacy team. The position is fully paid and requires a commitment to delivering high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the dispensary and delivering excellent service to our patients.

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
  • Provide guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions
  • Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
  • Support inventory management by stock checking, ordering, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of medicines and equipment
  • Support medication administration procedures where applicable, ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient pharmacy environment
  • Support services offered by the Pharmacy

Requirements

  • Have previous experience working in a community pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care principles
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards of practice
  • Be reliable and organised

A recognised dispensing qualification is desirable but we welcome applications from candidates with relevant pharmacy experience.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
