Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals within their own homes and care environments. The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their wellbeing, and promoting independence. Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised home care services in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring clients' needs are met with dignity and respect
  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility support
  • Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring as required
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in clients' conditions promptly
  • Drive to various client locations using company vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery
  • Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in activities suited to their abilities
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Valid driving licence is essential to facilitate client visits
  • Familiarity with care plans and basic IT systems for documentation purposes is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills is vital for success in this role
