Job Title: Therapeutic Lead
Location: Regionally based across Scotland
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience

With over 20 years experience, National Fostering Group is the largest independent children's fostering group in the UK with a community of over 2,500 foster carers.

We also offer a 4 day working week - this means 80% of the hours for 100% pay! This will be given following a successful 6 month probationary period and is a performance based benefit.
About the role:
We are looking for a Therapeutic Lead to join our central clinical team.
The National Fostering Group central services provide our carers and agencies with a range of therapeutic support including consultation, reflective practice, specialist interventions and therapeutic programmes. Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will support the delivery and development of our Clinical Offer across the group.
The main focus of this role will be to lead on universal, targeted and specialist therapeutic interventions to support our children, staff and foster families through therapeutic models such as Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW). Alongside the delivery and implementation of these models, you will ensure high-quality practice, support trained practitioners and embed approach consistently across our agencies.
You will also contribute to the development of future therapeutic interventions, provide direct therapeutic support to children and young people and work alongside foster carers, social workers and professionals to embed trauma-aware and therapeutic approaches into everyday care.
Who we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have experience delivering therapeutic interventions with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs, trauma experiences and attachment difficulties.
You will have experience of Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW), be confident supporting practitioners through supervision and reflective practice and have the ability to work collaboratively with foster carers, social workers and wider professionals.
You will have excellent communication skills, experience of multi-disciplinary working and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people through therapeutic practice.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant professional qualification in a therapeutic discipline.
- Hold a Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) qualification and certification to supervise practitioners.
- Experience delivering therapeutic interventions with children and young people.
- Experience working with trauma, attachment and complex needs.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
- Experience providing supervision, guidance or reflective support.
- Clear and concise report writing skills and ability to maintain accurate clinical records.
- Ability to work independently under supervision.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a car.
