Mobile Functional Assessor – Nurse, OT, Physio, Paramedic or Pharmacist

This full-time vacancy is specifically for clinicians based outside Greater London, East Anglia and the South East. If you live within these areas, please search for our Hybrid Functional Assessor vacancies instead.

Are you looking to use your clinical skills in a different way? As a full-time Mobile Functional Assessor, you'll continue to utilise your clinical expertise, maintain your registration, and enjoy a better work-life balance. You will spend 25% (£45,079k) or 40% (£47,160k) of the year at one of our Assessment Centres; and work from home the rest of the time.

As a full-time Mobile Functional Assessor, you'll continue to utilise your clinical expertise, maintain your registration, and enjoy a better work-life balance. You'll spend 25%-40% of your time at one of our Assessment Centres and work from home the rest of the time.

You must be a Registered Adult Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist currently practising in the UK, and have been in UK clinical practice for at least the last 12 months. Pharmacists require a minimum of 18 months' experience and must be Independent Prescribers.

Flexibility and remote working

Our mobile roles allow you to work primarily from home while spending either 25% or 40% of your time at one of our sites. We'll cover associated travel and overnight accommodation costs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out functional assessments face-to-face, via video and telephone to assess claimants' ability to undertake activities of daily living.
  • Using active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.
  • Producing high-quality, structured clinical reports for submission to the DWP.
  • Working alongside experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality and clinically fair assessments.

You'll receive paid, structured training to achieve formal DWP accreditation, alongside CPD and reimbursed professional registration fees.
