UKExpertMedical is a specialist medico-legal agency with offices in Lincoln and Manchester. We support solicitors nationwide by providing high-quality medical reports, triage, and rehabilitation services across Medical Negligence, Personal Injury, Industrial Disease, Social Care and Family Law.

Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians and administrators works closely with law firms from initial enquiry through to case resolution, delivering clear, evidence-based medical analysis at every stage.

The Role

Are you a Nurse looking to apply your clinical expertise in a non-clinical setting?

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will use your clinical judgement and analytical skills to assess medical records, identify potential breach and causation, and support solicitors during the early investigation of claims.

You will work closely with solicitors, medical experts, and internal teams to evaluate prospects of success, produce detailed medical chronologies, and triage new enquiries. Empathy, accuracy, and confident decision-making are essential, as many of our clients are navigating difficult circumstances.

This role offers a structured working week, no shift work, and a supportive office-based environment.

Full training will be provided, including pagination and medico-legal processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for potential clinical negligence claimants
  • Review medical and related records to assess breach and causation
  • Make recommendations regarding Medical Expert instruction
  • Sort, paginate, and analyse medical records
  • Produce clear, detailed medical chronologies
  • Triage and respond to solicitor enquiries
  • Liaise with Medical Experts regarding claim allegations
  • Support social care and family law cases through medical record analysis
  • Assist with training and development of team members
  • Provide general support to the Clinical Negligence team

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-registration clinical experience
  • Background in acute, surgical, or general medical settings preferred
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to identify breach and causation
  • Experience with patient records, audits, or investigations
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written communication and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment
