Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to deliver health surveillance clinics for 2 days per month on our customer site in Kings Lynn

You must have previous experience of working on site with a customer as you will be our COPE ambassador. You will also need to have up to date training evidence in audiometry and spirometry.

You will have excellent IT skills and be a great communicator and be quality driven with excellent record keeping skills. You will be supported by a clinically qualified manager and a friendly head office support team.

The role will be subject to satisfactory references, enhanced DBS and right to work checks.

About you, you will:

  • Be an experienced and/or qualified OHT with ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience, however individuals with less experience may be considered;
  • If self-employed; be able to provide up to date insurance(s) as appropriate;
  • Have own car and full driving licence;
  • Have experience of carrying out the following and be able to provide up-to-date certification as appropriate: Spiro, Audio, skin assessments, vision screening, blood pressure screening, heart rate, height and weight measurements, MSK assessments, HAVS T1 and T2 questionnaires;
  • Laptop and health surveillance kit on site.

About the health surveillance clinics:

  • Some of the clinics will be planned well in advance, some may be more ad-hoc or to provide cover as required;
  • You must ideally be able to work at least 2 days per month;
  • You will be required to be on a customer site for a total of 7.5 hours per day (or 4 hours half day);
  • COPE will provide relevant training on COPE’s systems, policies and procedures.
