Deputy Manager (Registered Manager Development Pathway) – Children's Residential Care

Salary: £39,000–£50,000 per annum

Locations: Leicester, Nottingham & Loughborough

Contract: Full-time | Permanent

About Elmdale Care

Elmdale Care is a growing children's residential care provider delivering high-quality, therapeutic homes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD).

Alongside our established homes in Leicester and Nottingham, we are opening a new EBD/LD home in Loughborough. As we continue to grow, we are looking for ambitious leaders who want to develop their careers and progress within the organisation.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step towards Registered Manager level.

Working closely with our Registered Managers and Responsible Individual, you will support the day-to-day operation of the home, lead staff teams, promote positive outcomes for children, and help maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

You will benefit from a structured leadership development programme, mentoring from experienced senior leaders, and support to build the knowledge, skills and confidence required for future registration.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within children's residential care
  • Current Deputy Manager, Team Leader or experienced Senior Residential Support Worker
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's home regulations
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (desirable)
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • A child-centred and therapeutic approach to care
  • Full UK driving licence
