Job Title: Self-Employed Online Psychologist (CBT and/or EMDR) – Road Traffic Accident & Personal Injury Rehabilitation

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced self-employed Psychologist to join our growing team, providing high-quality online psychological therapy to individuals recovering from road traffic accidents and other personal injury claims.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about trauma recovery and helping clients regain confidence, improve wellbeing, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes.

About the Role

As an Online Psychologist, you will provide evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment to adults experiencing the psychological effects of road traffic accidents or personal injuries. Clients may present with symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, adjustment difficulties, pain-related distress, or reduced confidence following their injury.

You will deliver therapy remotely using secure video consultations, working collaboratively with clients and, where appropriate, case managers, solicitors, insurers, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical need.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and/or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Support clients recovering from trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and PTSD.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Prepare concise clinical reports and treatment updates when required.
  • Work within professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation goals.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Psychologist with appropriate professional registration.
  • Training and experience in CBT and/or EMDR.
  • Experience working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Comfortable delivering therapy via secure online platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable

  • Experience treating clients following road traffic accidents or personal injury.
  • Accreditation or certification in EMDR and/or CBT.
  • Experience working within rehabilitation, medico-legal, occupational health, or insurance settings.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and pain management approaches.

What We Offer

  • Flexible remote working.
  • Competitive sessional rates or salary (depending on employment arrangement).
  • Flexible caseload.
  • Administrative support.
  • Opportunities for professional development and supervision.
  • Supportive, collaborative clinical environment.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the recovery of individuals affected by trauma and injury.

If you are a dedicated psychologist with experience in CBT and/or EMDR and are passionate about supporting people recovering from road traffic accidents and personal injuries, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please submit your CV together with a brief cover letter outlining your experience in trauma-focused therapy and your availability.
