Registered Mental Health Nurse -Complex Care

Registered Mental Health Nurse – Complex Care (Hampshire)
£38 per hour (Umbrella)
Weekday/Weekend/Days/Nights shifts available

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Mental Health Nurse to support children and adults in around the Hampshire. Your care will enable them to live safely, confidently and with dignity in their own home.
This is a meaningful role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.
About the Client
Our clients range from children to adults who have mental health challenges in their homes. They benefit from structured routines, reassurance and support both at home and in the community. An RMN who is calm, patient and confident working independently will thrive in this role. As per the service user’s location, you will need to be able to drive to attend.
Clinical Requirements

Supporting individuals with conditions such as Schizophrenia, Eating disorder, Bipolar disorder, Major depressive disorder, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or borderline personality disorder.

Monitoring mental state, mood, behaviour, and any changes in a person's condition.

Providing emotional support through active listening, reassurance, and therapeutic communication.

Assisting with personal care, meals, medication reminders or administration (where trained and authorised), and daily living activities.

Developing trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
-
Supporting individuals to achieve goals in their care plans, such as improving independence, social engagement, and daily routines.

Recognising signs of mental health deterioration or crisis and following safeguarding and emergency procedures.
-
Conducting risk assessments and reporting concerns about self-harm, suicide risk, aggression, neglect, or abuse according to organisational policy.
-
Maintaining accurate, confidential records of observations, incidents, and care provided.
-
Working with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers.
-
Encouraging participation in therapeutic activities, education, employment, or community services where appropriate.

Supporting families and carers by providing information and involving them in care where consent allows.

Promoting dignity, respect, equality, and person-centred care at all times. Full specialist training and competency sign-off are provided by our Clinical Team, so you do not need to have every skill listed to apply.

We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.
Mon - Fri: 08:00AM - 20:00PM
Mon - Sun: 20:00PM - 08:00AM
Sat - Sun: 08:00AM - 20:00PM
Sat - Sun: 20:00PM - 08:00AM
- Weekend day shifts
- Weekend night shifts
- 12-hour shifts or shorter calls
- Driver requirement if applicable
- Regular pattern (e.g., every Saturday and Sunday)

- Delivering compassionate 1:1 care in the client’s home
- Supporting with community access and social activities
- Promoting independence and dignity in all tasks
- Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
- Communicating effectively with the clinical, care and coordination teams
Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.
