Overview
Our client is looking to recruit a Support Worker to work with a gentleman who has experience with autism sprectrum disorder (ASD). A full, manual driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support, promoting independence and confidence
- Engage in mentoring activities, providing guidance and encouragement
- Assist with daily routines, including educational activities and behavioural support
- Organise engaging activities that promote social skills and personal growth
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any concerns to inform ongoing support plans
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care
- Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, inclusive environment at all times
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults with autism is desired
- Passion for helping individuals achieve their potential
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised, patient, empathetic, and reliable with a genuine desire to make a difference
- Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including occasional evening or weekend shifts if required
