Full job description

Overview
Our client is looking to recruit a Support Worker to work with a gentleman who has experience with autism sprectrum disorder (ASD). A full, manual driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Offer personalised support, promoting independence and confidence
  • Engage in mentoring activities, providing guidance and encouragement
  • Assist with daily routines, including educational activities and behavioural support
  • Organise engaging activities that promote social skills and personal growth
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and any concerns to inform ongoing support plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe, inclusive environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Experience working with adults with autism is desired
  • Passion for helping individuals achieve their potential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organised, patient, empathetic, and reliable with a genuine desire to make a difference
  • Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including occasional evening or weekend shifts if required

This Support Worker role is ideal for those committed to making a meaningful contribution.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
