Full job description
“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
Purpose
Shaw Trust is one of the strategic partners for Mental Health Together (MHT); this is the
transformed multi-agency offer, which brings all the services and agencies that support
people with varying mental health needs much closer together. This ensures that people
get the right care, without having to navigate service boundaries and without repeatedly
telling their story. The Mental Health Navigator is one of several roles which is part of a
joined-up model of care which bridges the gap that currently exists between primary and
community mental health. You’ll be one of the first people that those using Mental Health
Together will meet, so you’ll have a strong commitment to ensuring that this first experience
is positive, being a strong communicator as well as showing compassion. As part of one
team of professionals from across different organisations that make up Mental Health
Together, you’ll value partnership and collaboration, recognising the different skills and
understanding that each person brings to the team.
Interviews for applicants that are offered an interview, will be held in person, in Maidstone.
Download the Job Description for full details.
Location:
The successful applicant will be required to work from the Mental Health Together Hub in Maidstone.

2 days paid volunteering leave each year
An enhanced pension scheme after 6 months
Life Assurance at 3 times your annual salary rate
Access to a suite of learning and development opportunities including paid for apprenticeship and masters’ levels qualifications, and management development programmes
Opportunities to connect with our employee diversity networks (LGBTQ+ Support Network, Racial Equality Network, Disability Equality Network, Neurodiversity Peer Support Network, Women’s Network, MANaging Network, Menopause Network Group)
Health and Wellbeing initiatives including internal support, employee assistance programme and health cash plan
Opportunity to request flexible working from day one
