An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate Senior Sommelier to join the restaurant team at one of the UK’s most prestigious Michelin-starred dining destinations. Working within an ambitious, highly accomplished team, you will play an integral role in delivering an outstanding beverage experience, combining expert wine knowledge with warm, polished and intuitive hospitality.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven wine professional looking to further their career within an acclaimed fine-dining environment, contributing to an impressive beverage programme while working alongside some of the industry's most talented hospitality professionals.

You must have experience in a minimum of 3 AA Rosette venues as a Sommelier to be considered for this role.

Please note that this role does not provide Sponsorship, to apply you will need a full British Passport or the right to work in the UK.

Senior Sommelier Ideal Profile:

  • Strong sommelier experience gained within Michelin-starred, multi-AA Rosette, luxury hotel or comparable high-end fine-dining environments
  • Excellent wine knowledge with the confidence to discuss regions, producers, vintages, styles and pairings while tailoring recommendations to individual guest preferences
  • Genuine passion for wine and beverages with an eagerness to continually develop product knowledge and remain engaged with developments across the industry
  • Polished and engaging communication skills with the ability to build rapport and create memorable, personalised experiences for discerning guests
  • Broader beverage knowledge encompassing spirits, beers and cocktails alongside a strong understanding of premium wine service
  • Calm, organised and detail-focused approach with the ability to maintain exceptional standards throughout demanding and fast-paced services

Senior Sommelier Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional wine service, confidently guiding guests through the wine selection and making considered recommendations based on their tastes, chosen dishes and individual preferences
  • Support the delivery and continued development of an outstanding wine and beverage programme that complements an acclaimed fine-dining food offering
  • Prepare, present and serve wines to the highest professional standards, ensuring appropriate temperatures, glassware, decanting and service techniques are consistently maintained
  • Work closely with the restaurant leadership and wider front-of-house team to develop beverage menus, introduce new ideas and continually enhance the overall guest experience
  • Assist with wine cellar and beverage stock management, communicating requirements, placing orders and helping maintain appropriate stock levels and accurate organisation
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to a culture of learning, helping develop the wider team's understanding of wines, pairings and premium beverage service
