Full job description

Rothay Manor Hotel is a luxury boutique 4 star hotel on the outskirts of Ambleside in the English Lake District. We offer fabulous guest accommodation coupled with a modern British restaurant. With a total of 23 rooms, 10 of which are suites, we offer exceptional service in a warm and friendly atmosphere, creating a home from home experience for all guests.

We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Rowan kitchen team.

Rowan Restaurant has just relaunched under Simon Ulph as our new Head Chef and currently holds 3AA rosettes focusing on fresh Cumbrian inspired food, using great local ingredients. Simon has a wealth experience from a Michelin background and is eager to stamp his mark on the Lake District scene.

You must be hard working and adaptable, the ability to work in all areas oft the kitchen would be a huge advantage

The normal working week is 5 days out of 7, approximately 50 hours per week

Hours worked over 50 per week are paid in addition to your salary

You will receive 28 days paid holiday per year, plus generous gratuities paid monthly (circa £250 - £400 per month).

You must be eligible to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available.

All employees are free to join our NEST Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions.

2 Meals per day are available when on duty.

Accommodation is available with this role, either on-site at the hotel or at our staff house in Ambleside town centre.

All staff have their own room, with access to cooking and laundry facilities. Free wi-fi is provided, with some rooms being en-suite, shared facilities are with no more than 2 or 3 other employees.
