Job description

Urban Environments is a growing and reputable water hygiene company specialising in Legionella control and compliance. We are currently looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team.

This is a mobile role covering multiple sites including residential, commercial, healthcare, and public sector buildings. You will play a key role in helping our clients maintain safe and compliant water systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines
  • Conduct water temperature monitoring (hot & cold systems)
  • Perform cold water storage tank inspections
  • Undertake water sampling for microbiological testing
  • Inspect hot water vessels and associated systems
  • Service and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
  • Support chlorination and disinfection work
  • Accurately complete reports using our in-house digital logbook system (CAT-Si)

RequirementsEssential:

  • Legionella Risk Assessor / Legionella Awareness certification (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of HSE ACOP L8 and HSG274
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessing / water hygiene
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Basic plumbing knowledge
  • Experience in cleaning and disinfecting water systems
