Full job description

JOB PURPOSE

To support all activities related to manufacture of a safe legal product which meets customer requirements. Support the day to day verification & validation of CCP’s on site as well as the factory controls. The role would also support the investigation of customer complaints and conducting and scheduling quality assessments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Scheduling and conducting the site validation requirements.

· Reporting of factory/technical issues of non-compliance on food safety/quality/due diligence both verbally and in writing as required.

· Support EHC applications, liaising with external vet / slaughterhouse for documentation.

· Complete Internal audits as per schedule against BRC & customer Standards.

· Respond to customer technical enquires

· Assist with maintenance of site QMS, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices

· Conducting and scheduling finished product quality assessments.

· Supporting the Technical team to successfully investigate customer complaints and eventually complete the responses.

· Auditing factory processes to identify discrepancies and agree action plans with production staff.

· Auditing of HACCP systems to guarantee product safety e.g. CCPs, allergen control.

Pro-active thinking and challenging existing ways to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Food Handlers Qualification – Ideally Intermediate Food Hygiene & Intermediate HACCP Trained
  • Internal Audit Trained (Optional)
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Food Science/Chemistry)
