Regional Youth Voice & Influence Lead
Midlands | Full Time | 37.5 Hours
Young people don't need adults speaking for them.
They need adults who know how to listen.
At Change Grow Live, we believe the best services aren't designed for young people—they're designed with them.
That's why we're looking for a Regional Youth Voice & Influence Lead to champion the experiences, ideas and ambitions of children and young people across the Midlands, ensuring their voices don't just inform services—they shape them.
If you're passionate about participation, believe in genuine co-production and know how to turn conversations into meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
This isn't just another engagement role.
It's an opportunity to influence how services are designed, delivered and improved across an entire region.
You'll spend your time building trusted relationships with young people, creating safe spaces where they feel heard and empowered, and making sure their experiences influence real decisions—not just reports that sit on a shelf.
Working independently alongside local services, you'll challenge thinking, identify opportunities for improvement and help create services that young people genuinely want to access.
Because when young people help shape services, everyone benefits.
Who we're looking for
You believe young people should be partners, not passengers.
Whether your background is youth work, participation, safeguarding, education, health, substance use or another related field, you'll know how to create meaningful relationships and build trust quickly.
You'll bring:
- Experience working directly with children and young people.
- The ability to facilitate engaging, inclusive and creative participation activities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence presenting insight and influencing people at every level.
- A passion for reducing inequalities and improving outcomes for young people.
- Energy, creativity and a genuine belief that young people should have a say in decisions that affect them.
Most importantly, you'll never lose sight of the fact that every conversation has the potential to improve someone's future.
The Details
Location: Based from one of our Midlands services with regular travel across the region.
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and any associated payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Be the person who makes sure young people's voices don't just get heard—they create lasting change.
Responsibilities:
What you'll be doing
You'll:
- Create innovative and engaging opportunities for young people to influence services across the Midlands.
- Build trusted relationships with children and young people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Facilitate creative participation sessions, workshops and events that encourage honest conversations.
- Gather insight, identify themes and turn lived experience into meaningful action.
- Work alongside local teams, senior leaders and commissioners to embed co-production into everyday practice.
- Champion inclusive participation and ensure young people's voices influence strategic decisions.
- Share learning across multiple services to improve quality, accessibility and outcomes.
- Help create a culture where listening to young people isn't an event—it's simply how we work.
Why join Change Grow Live?
Everything we do starts with people.
Guided by our values of Be Open, Be Compassionate and Be Bold, we're building services that are shaped by evidence, strengthened by partnership and designed around the voices of the people who use them.
This role is central to that ambition.
You'll have the opportunity to influence services across an entire region while working alongside passionate colleagues who believe that participation isn't a project—it's a way of working.
We want to get to know you, not an AI tool. Please make sure your application is written in your own words and genuinely reflects your skills, experience and motivation.
Direct applications only — we will not be engaging agencies for this vacancy.
Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. For applicants with time-limited visas, unfortunately, we are unable to support new visa applications or extensions.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
